2TB is the largest ext HDD the PS3 will detect, but there is a trick to using larger drives up to 4TB. Spilt this 4TB HDD into 2 - 2 TB partitions and the PS3 will see 2 HDDs. 2 partitions is the limit same with 2TB in size so any more partitions or larger volume and the PS3 will not read it or even see it.I'm extremely new to jailbreaking since I recently got my PS3 jailbroken. New to PS3 homebrew and was wondering if it is possible to unplug the PS3 HDD and plug it in to my PC via a USB hard drive bay. I was wondering because I have done a similar process with PS2 homebrew, and it works fine. This way I could transfer a bunch of large .pkgs/iso whatever it may be directly, rather than via USB or over network with FTP. HXIY.
